Turanga Leela was claimed as a 2 year old following a win at Lingfield in July 2016 and has since proved to be a resounding success for Eventmasters Racing. In fact in her very first run for us she won a nice Chester handicap under Champion jockey Silvester De Sousa. She has achieved a highest BHA rating of 84 and has won a total of 6 races including turf and all weather. Her preference was for a tight left handed turning tracks she has been successful over both 5 & 6 furlongs and ran particularly well at both Chester and Wolverhampton.
She was put her in foal in 2021 as she has an interesting outcross. Her 1st dam is by the Japanese superstar Deep Impact out of a Chilean Classic winner. To date she has produced 3 foals further information can be found below. She is currently in foal to Harry’s Angel.
Sold Out Becomes Her First Winner
Leela’s third foal Sold Out won his first race at the age of four at Newcastle on 15th February 2026. It is a thrill for us to see him being born and developing into a winner, we are grateful to John Mackie and his team.

Fourth Foal by Harry Angel 2025 Filly
Leela’s fourth foal a filly is by Harry’s Angel
World Champion Sprinter, Timeform-rated 132, Harry Angel has sired 20 Stakes winners of 38 Stakes races, including 16 Group winners and three at G1 level.
From the All-Star Mile to the Stradbroke and the Galaxy, his progeny: Tom Kitten, War Machine, Private Harry, Stretan Angel and Arkansaw Kid have taken him to seventh on the Australian Sires Table last season.
Third Foal by Without Parole 2024 Filly
Leela’s third foal and first filly is by Without Parole
Without Parole is by the legend racehorse Frankel and won the St James Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot and also the Breeders Cup Mile more info can be found here:
Second Foal by Havana Gold 2023 Colt
Leela’s second foal is also a colt by Havana Gold he is currently enjoying plenty of grass
His sire Havana Gold also by Teofilo was crowned the leading first season sire of 2 year olds in 2022. He sadly died due to a fatal pelvis injury so did not realise his potential more info can be found here:
