Turanga Leela, proved to be an instant hit in 2016. After winning a claimer in impressive fashion at Lingfield for Tom Dascombe, the two-year-old filly was quickly snapped up by our syndicate and moved to the yard of Ian Williams. Just 11-days later she teamed up with Silvestre De Sousa to take a nursery handicap at Chester in style. Making all from the front she showed great character and speed to see off her rivals by one-length.
2017 was another good year, as she was victorious in the Corinthian Sports Fillies’ Handicap at Chester Racecourse. Jockey Phillip Makin guided her well as she kicked clear over 1f out, and held on well inside final furlong.
As a Four-year she is sure to develop and we are looking forward to the 2018 flat season to come.
